LEA Contacts

Listed below by town and by regional school district are links to contact information sheets about each school district – also called a Local Education Agency (LEA).  Those listed on the contact sheet have been identified by the school district as the person(s) for a service coordinator to call to make a referral to preschool special education or to schedule a transition conference.  Birth to Three service coordinators are responsible for convening a transition conference as soon as 9 months, but no later than 90 days before a child's third birthday.

For families with a child in Birth to Three who is being referred to their local school district for an evaluation to determine eligibility for preschool special education, an LEA representative must be present at the transition conference. Smooth transitions from Birth to Three to pre-school special education are more likely with early referral, frequent communication and transition conferences at least 90 days before age 3.

Click on the name of the town or regional school district below to view and print the contact sheet.  These will be updated as needed.  Please notify Lynn Johnson, Birth to Three Assistant Director, of any changes in this contact information:  lynn.s.johnson@ct.gov / phone 860-418-6141 / fax 860-418-6003.Thank you.
